As the Bisbee Homeless Task Force (HTF) digs for facts and chews on solutions, Bisbee's homeless population, about 30 at any time, is too busy surviving to participate in the work of HTF. Dale Morris, who moved with his mother to Bisbee at age 5, (he's 31 now), was remanded to foster care until he was 18. He's been homeless ever since then.
As is the case more often than you might think, number one on Dale's daily routine is to generate income, and more; Dale really wants a job, but he won;t leave Bisbee, where jobs are few and far between these days, to find employment. Bisbee is the only home he's ever known... it's where his "family" is and friends are. He has no place to go but up and he's determined to do that right where he is.
But, he needs help.
We Sat down to chat before the interview on MLK Day 2016 at the Stock Exchange Saloon over a great pizza, (thank you Duchess). I found Dale to be well thought out and bright... as I do Ian. This interview goes deep into the life of a homeless man in Bisbee, AZ. Dale is easy to warm up to. Hoping you get something out of our talk.
